Raising Will’s Cuppa A Day: the best excuse for a break!

So it turns out I’m not the only one that can rock taking a picture of my cuppa – it’s been great to see others getting in on the cuppaography (totes made up a new word!). And it’s been lovely to know you’ve all been taking a bit of down time with your cuppas.

Raising Will's Cuppa A Day

Cuppa A Day takes over the world!!

So there’s only one thing for it…… KEEP GOING! I know my weekly challenge has two days left, and you can keep on with that one – but if you like, take on the new challenge of taking a break every day FOR A MONTH!

And when your other half rolls their eyes at you taking a pic of your cuppa (again?!), you definitely have the best excuse.

I present to you Raising Will’s JUNE Cuppa A Day Photo Challenge:

Raising Will's Cuppa A Day - JUNE

The RW Cuppa A Day challenge list for JUNE!

The technical stuff? There aren’t any rules really, but try and get into the Cuppa A Day spirit:  include a cuppa in each of your pics. It can be coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, wine in a mug; we won’t judge. Just take a break and be ok with it. Lordy knows we need breaks….. and cuppas.

Share your photos on Instagram or Twitter with the hash-tag #RWcuppaaday, or on the Raising Will Facebook Page….. Bring on the cuppas and I look forward to tuning into your cuppaography each day!

Now excuse me while I go make a coffee…

Will you be joining in? What’s your cuppa of choice?

  1. I live in Portland, OR in the US. I found an instagram with a photo of your story stones. I cannot find anything like the stones you have used. I have tried several people via emails….mostly in Southern Australia, to try and determine if, and where I might buy some of these stones. Any chance you can help me?

During my Internet surfing I have read your blogs, your Raising Will stories and have thoroughly enjoyed YOUR storytelling!! You have quite a knack with the written word!

Enjoy your children….they DO grow so fast! The up side is, they grow up and become friends to cherish forever.

Blessings to you and yours from Oregon,

    • Ha! Why hello there Ms Melinda! The reach of Internet never ceases to amaze me 🙂
Thank you for your kind words and so glad you’ve enjoyed your Raising Will visits.
The story stones you’ve mentioned created a bit of a mini-buzz when I posted them on Instagram and I’ve learnt some things through many people’s trial and error with them. The white glossy stones you saw pictured are stocked nationally around Australia in ‘Bunnings’ stores (a chain of hardware/homeware/gardening warehouses similar to US’s Home Depot). They are a decorative glass pebble and are found in the gardening section with bags of river stones etc. You might be able to find something similar over there just by knowing that info – I’ve checked Home Depot’s website for you and they don’t have anything listed that is similar but you can continue to keep your eyes peeled.

In truth however, the glass pebble/sharpie combination has proved challenging. The sharpies just wipe straight off after drying if not sealed, but to seal the sharpie without smudging/running the colour/detail has been difficult. I am still experimenting with them, but as gloriously smooth as the stones are, I don’t think they are going to be as simple as I first thought. They have since been migrated to my ‘needs more thinking time’ box 🙂

Good luck finding the stones (this is the stockist in Australia: HERE – the decorative ‘Aztec’ Range in white) and if you have any further luck, please let us know! Cheers – Michelle @ Raising Will
